Admission Requirements
a) Regular/extension students who fulfill the following criteria are eligible for admission to the school
- Preparatory complete with minimum points for engineering education in the national
examination (extension).
- Students shall complete pre-engineering program successfully
- Good performance in the assessment semester.
b) Students who have completed 10+3 TVET programs related to mechanical engineering with very good performance, have CoC level 4 certificate and who have attended a bridging
program in physical sciences can also be considered for admission, although their acceptance
will depend on availability of space.
Degree Nomenclature
The degree awarded to students who successfully complete the minimum requirements is the
labeled in English & Amharic.

a) Regular/extension students who fulfill the following criteria are eligible for admission to the school
- Preparatory complete with minimum points for engineering education in the national
examination (extension).
- Students shall complete pre-engineering program successfully
- Good performance in the assessment semester.
b) Students who have completed 10+3 TVET programs related to mechanical engineering with very good performance, have CoC level 4 certificate and who have attended a bridging
program in physical sciences can also be considered for admission, although their acceptance
will depend on availability of space.
